We are Jerry and Jackie Amend. Two trumpet players based near Louisville, Kentucky.
Jerry Amend played trumpet in the Louisville Orchestra for 46 years – about half of them sitting in the “hot seat” of Principal Trumpet. In addition to a long and distinguished performing career, Jerry is also a prolific writer of music – arranging music for a variety of ensembles and creating more “historically accurate” performing editions of popular trumpet works.
Jackie Amend is also a trumpet player, and is the brains behind getting Jerry’s abundant music and pedagogical writings “out there”.
